Can you keep Shubunkin Goldfish with Koi?
Yes, you can quite happily keep Shubunkin goldfish with Koi, as well as other coldwater species such as goldfish and sturgeon. You can also keep with fancy goldfish indoors, although they may out-compete slower swimming species for food.
Shubunkin Goldfish are a great addition to an outdoor filtered pond, or a well-filtered indoor coldwater aquarium (while small and manageable). Shubunkins are very simple to care for and like common goldfish are great for beginners.
