Easy. We recommend having a pond at least a foot deep so they can go deep when the weather is cold. The deeper the better. You will also need to have a filter in the pond to keep the water healthy. An air pump is recommend for the summer months of hot weather. In winter you will need to break the ice on the surface so they can breathe.

Pond Flake and small pellets are best at the moment. Increase pellet/ stick size as they grow larger.

Welfare Pledge

Ensuring welfare of fish in our care is vitally important to us. Under usual retail circumstances, tropical fish are imported from overseas and transported to a quarantine system. They are subsequently transported to a retail shop, and further transported to your home aquaria. A total of 4 points of transit.

By ordering via our website, your fish will only make 3 journeys. Importation > Quarantine > Your Aquaria. Please be assured that, by ordering online, journey time using our tried-and-tested delivery methods should have no detrimental effect on welfare. We will only send fish from a system that has completed at least 7 days quarantine and are deemed healthy and suitable for transit.

In the unlikely event of loss or a common disease being identified upon arrival, please refer to our claim guide via this link. Please keep fish bagged, take a clear photograph, and contact us immediately. Please do not integrate them into your system.

We guarantee the health of our livestock for up to 24 hours after delivery. We recommend that you follow basic quarantine steps where possible, and do not introduce new fish to existing stock unless completely satisfied with their well being. If you are ever unsure about the health of your new fish, please contact us. We are here to help and advise.

All stock levels are correct at point of listing but may be subject to change without notice. By ordering livestock from our website your are agreeing to adhere to section 17 of our Terms and Conditions.

We do not accept liability for consequential losses under any circumstances.
